Logic formula
IFERROR in Excel and Google Sheets
Show a clean value instead of an error like #N/A or #DIV/0!.
Syntax
=IFERROR(value, value_if_error)- value
- The formula that might fail.
- value_if_error
- What to show instead.
Example
| Row | A | B | C |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Sales | Visits | Conversion |
| 2 | 30 | 0 |
C2 =IFERROR(A2/B2,0)
Result: 0
Dividing by zero would show #DIV/0!. IFERROR shows 0 instead.
Ready-to-copy formulas
Blank instead of #N/A
=IFERROR(VLOOKUP(A2,E:F,2,FALSE),"")
Tips
- Hides every error, so test your formula first.
