Date formula
EOMONTH in Excel and Google Sheets
Get the last day of a month, a number of months before or after a date.
Syntax
=EOMONTH(start_date, months)- start_date
- Any date.
- months
- 0 for this month, 1 for next, -1 for last.
Example

| 1 | Invoice date | Due (end of next month) |
| 2 | 2026-10-17 |
B2 =EOMONTH(A2,1)
Result: 2026-11-30
Returns the last day of the following month.
